The Code of Practice
The Code of Practice (August 2009) sets out the regulatory framework for public appointments processes within the Commissioner’s remit. It aims to provide those responsible for these processes with a clear and concise guide to the steps which must be followed in order to ensure a fair, open and transparent appointments process which commands public confidence.
The Code of Practice is mandatory.
The provisions contained in the Code of Practice (August 2005) apply to appointments processes which commenced prior to 1 August 2009.
