Public Appointments in Scotland

Public appointments in Scotland are regulated by the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Scotland (OCPAS) which was set up in June 2004. The Commissioner for Public Appointments in Scotland shares similar objectives and procedures with the Commissioners for Public Appointments in England and Wales and in Northern Ireland. The current Commissioners for Public Appointments in Scotland is Karen Carlton who took up her post on 1 June 2004.
